Clinical presentation

40 year old gentleman with fever, hemiscrotal heaviness and pain.

Ultrasound

Findings

Hypoechoic enlarged right testis and epididymis with diffusely increased vascularity demonstrated in power doppler setting.

Learning points

  • Most common differential for acute onset scrotal pain.
  • It is often accompanied by febrile illness.
  • The worrisome differential is testicular torsion.
