Long standing scrotal swelling for assessment.

Findings

Approximately 75ml of fluid with fine internal echoes is seen in right tunica vaginalis. No fluid fluid levels. Both testes and epididymis are normal. No varicocele. A 10mm simple cyst is seen in the body of left epididymis.

Discussion

This is an example of uncomplicated hydrocele – the most common cause of scrotal swelling.
